This project won the Fresh Produce award for the New Designers competition.
The challenge set was to design branding and packaging for a new melon brand. I designed logos, packing and social media promotions for the brand.
The logo for the brand uses a sleek, light typeface, mixed with hand-rendered type for the word 'on'. The hand-rendered type creates a new way of reading the brand. Reading it as 'it's melON' instead of simply 'it's melon'; emphasising the 'on' gives a sense of readiness, showing the audience that the products are fresh and ready to eat.
